What is a podcast teaser?
A podcast teaser is an automatically generated short video (30-40 seconds) that summarizes the highlights of your episode. The AI selects the most impactful quotes from your episode, combines them with a professional narrator, and adds background music.
You get two versions:
- Vertical (9:16) for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Horizontal (16:9) for YouTube, LinkedIn and your website
An audio teaser is also generated that can serve as an intro for your podcast.
Customizing teaser settings
Go to Settings > Podcast and scroll to the Teaser settings section. Here you can configure:
Music style
Choose from 7 styles for your teaser background music:
- Cinematic - orchestral score with dramatic strings
- Professional - clean and corporate
- Ambient - calm and atmospheric
- Energetic - upbeat and dynamic
- Warm - acoustic and intimate
- Dark - suspenseful and mysterious
- Minimal - subtle, piano, less is more
Tone and energy
Determine how the narrator sounds:
- Calm and authoritative - measured pace, longer sentences
- Balanced - natural rhythm (default)
- Urgent and compelling - short and punchy, builds tension
AI background visuals
Enable or disable AI-generated visual backgrounds for narrator segments in your teaser video. When disabled, a clean black background is used.
Narrator voice
Select the narrator voice for your teasers per language. You can listen to a preview with the preview button.
All these settings are automatically applied to the next teaser you generate.
Enabling teasers on upload
When uploading content, you will find two extra checkboxes under the podcast option:
- Generate podcast teaser - creates the teaser video and audio
- Add podcast teaser before video - adds the teaser as an intro to your video on the public site
Both are enabled by default when you select podcast. The second option is only available when the first is checked.
Managing teasers per episode
In the podcast editor you will find two toggles per episode:
- Teaser in RSS feed - adds the teaser as an intro to your podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other apps. Listeners will automatically hear a professional intro before the episode starts.
- Teaser as video intro - shows the teaser as an intro on your website before the full video plays. Visitors can skip the intro with the "Skip intro" button.
Downloading videos for social media
In the podcast editor you can download the teaser videos:
- Vertical - ideal for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Horizontal - ideal for YouTube and LinkedIn
How does it work on your website?
When a visitor opens your podcast episode and "Teaser as video intro" is enabled, the horizontal teaser plays first. After it ends, the full episode continues automatically. A "Skip intro" button appears after 3 seconds.
