They help visitors discover your most valuable work right away, and they position you as a trusted authority on the topics that matter most to your audience.

How to Create a Best-Of List

  1. Go to Content in the main navigation and open the Best-Of Lists section.
  2. Click Add List to create a new entry manually.
  3. Fill in the list title, the source URL, and optionally the source name.
  4. Set the status that matches where this list currently stands (see status options below).
  5. Assign an impact score from 1 to 5 stars to indicate how valuable this list is for your visibility.
  6. Add any personal notes you want to keep track of, then click Save.

Scan for New Lists Automatically

The platform can discover Best-Of mentions for you. Click Scan at the top of the page and the system will search for existing lists that already feature your content. When the scan is complete, you will see a summary of how many lists were found and how many are new.

You can re-run a scan at any time. The date of your last scan is always shown so you know how fresh your results are.

Understanding the Status Labels

Each list has a status so you can track where things stand:

  • Discovered: A list has been found and is waiting for your review.
  • Applied: You have submitted a request to be included.
  • Listed: Your content is confirmed on this list.
  • Not Listed: You have decided not to pursue this one.
  • Rejected: Your application was not accepted.
  • Expired: The list is no longer active.

You can update a status at any time by selecting a new value directly on the list card.

Managing Your Lists

  • Use the filter bar at the top to view lists by status, making it easy to focus on what needs action.
  • Click the notes icon on any card to add or edit private notes, useful for tracking outreach or deadlines.
  • Click the external link icon to open the original list URL in a new tab.
  • Use the delete button to remove any list you no longer need.

Tips

  • Start with a scan right after setup so you can see which lists already mention you.
  • Prioritize lists with a high impact score (4 or 5 stars) when deciding where to focus your outreach energy.
  • Use the notes field to log the date you applied and any contact details, so nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Update statuses regularly so your overview stays accurate and actionable.
