Answer
Silence Removal automatically cuts out silent pauses and filler moments from your audio or video. The result is tighter, more polished content, without any manual editing on your end.
How to enable Silence Removal
- Go to the upload page and select your audio or video file.
- In the settings step, look for the Silence Removal toggle.
- Turn it on. That is all you need to do.
- Continue with the rest of your upload settings and start processing.
The platform uses the word timestamps from your transcription to detect and remove silent gaps. Your other upload settings stay exactly as you configured them.
What gets removed
Silence Removal targets two things:
- Silent gaps: noticeable pauses between sentences or thoughts
- Filler moments: brief dead air that makes recordings feel unpolished
The result sounds natural, not rushed. Think of it as a light edit that tightens the pacing without changing your message.
When to use it
Silence Removal is especially useful when you:
- Record without a script and tend to pause while thinking
- Work with interview recordings that have natural conversational gaps
- Want to repurpose a long recording into a crisp podcast or video clip
- Publish content where a professional, confident pace matters
Tips
- Silence Removal works best on recordings where the speech is clear. Background noise or overlapping audio may affect detection accuracy.
- You can combine Silence Removal with other audio enhancement options for even better results.
- If your content is already well-paced and tightly recorded, you may not need it. Try it on a first upload to see the difference.
