How to use the Planning page to manage your content schedule

Last updated March 30, 2026

Answer

The Planning page gives you a clear, visual overview of everything you have scheduled or published: blog posts, social media posts, emails, and podcast episodes, all in one place. At a glance, you can spot gaps in your schedule, avoid content pile-ups, and keep your publishing rhythm consistent.

Finding your way around the Planning page

  1. Go to Planning in the main navigation.
  2. You will see a timeline with all your upcoming and published content items.
  3. Each item shows the content type, title, scheduled time, and current status (scheduled, published, draft, or failed).
  4. Color coding helps you quickly distinguish between content types: green for blog posts, purple for emails, amber for podcast episodes, and blue for social posts. Social platforms have their own colors too, so Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube are easy to tell apart.

Switching between views

Choose the view that fits how you like to plan:

  • Week view: See the current week day by day. Great for fine-tuning what goes out this week.
  • Month view: Zoom out and check the bigger picture. Ideal for spotting imbalances across the month.
  • List view: A rolling 30-day list of upcoming items. Perfect for a quick prioritized rundown.

Use the arrow buttons to move forward or backward in time.

Filtering your content

  1. Click the Filter controls at the top of the page.
  2. Filter by channel (for example, only show LinkedIn posts or only emails).
  3. Filter by status (for example, only show scheduled items, or only drafts).
  4. Combine both filters to zoom in on exactly what you need.

Opening and editing an item

Click any item on the calendar to open it directly. You can review the content and make edits without leaving your planning overview.

Tips

  • Use the month view at the start of each week to check whether your content is spread evenly across channels. A healthy mix prevents your audience from being overwhelmed on one day and hearing nothing the next.
  • Draft items appear on the calendar too, so you can see what still needs finishing before its planned publish date.
  • If an item shows a red "failed" status, click it right away to review and reschedule so nothing slips through the cracks.
