Generate Carousel Reel Videos with Command Chat

Last updated April 25, 2026

Answer

You can turn any LinkedIn carousel post into a kinetic typography video without leaving your current page. Just open Command Chat, make a request, and the video generates in the background while you keep working.

  1. Press Cmd+K (or Ctrl+K on Windows) on any page to open Command Chat.
  2. Ask the assistant to create a reel from a LinkedIn carousel post. For example: "Make a carousel reel from my latest LinkedIn carousel."
  3. The assistant finds the post, checks that it contains slides, and kicks off the video generation automatically.
  4. You will see a confirmation that the job has started. Generation takes two to five minutes and runs entirely in the background.

That is it. No need to navigate to the Social page at all.

What the Video Includes

Each reel is built from your carousel slides and includes:

  • Kinetic typography that animates your slide content
  • AI voice-over that reads through the slides naturally
  • Background music to complete the feel

The voice-over language is detected automatically based on the language of your post. The voice itself comes from your teaser settings, or a default voice for that language if no preference is set.

Check the Status of a Reel Job

Because generation runs in the background, you can check in at any time:

  1. Open Command Chat with Cmd+K.
  2. Ask something like: "What is the status of my reel?"
  3. The assistant will tell you whether the job is queued, processing, completed, or if something went wrong.
  4. Once the reel is ready, the assistant shares the download link directly in the chat.

Tips

  • You can start a reel job and immediately switch to another task. There is no need to wait on the page.
  • If a job fails, asking for the status will surface that so you can try again.
  • Make sure your carousel post actually contains slides. The assistant checks this automatically and will let you know if the post is not a carousel.
  • Your voice preference set in teaser settings applies here too, so your reels stay consistent with your other content.
