How to Add, Reorder, Hide, and Remove Blocks in the Page Editor

Last updated June 12, 2026

Answer

The page editor gives you full control over your page layout. You can add new blocks, change their order, hide them temporarily, or remove them entirely, all directly on the page, right where you need it.

To open the page editor, go to My Website in the left menu, click Pages, then click the row of the page you want to edit.

Adding a New Block

  1. Scroll to the spot on the page where you want to add a block.
  2. Look for the plus button that appears between existing blocks.
  3. Click it and choose the type of block you want, such as a text block, gallery, or workflow section.
  4. The block appears immediately in the chosen position.

Reordering Blocks

  1. Hover over the block you want to move. A small toolbar appears.
  2. Find the drag handle in that toolbar.
  3. Click and hold the drag handle, then drag the block up or down to the position you want.
  4. Release it and the block snaps into its new place.

Hiding a Block Temporarily

  1. Hover over the block to reveal the toolbar, or click the block to open the inspector panel on the right.
  2. Use the hide option in the toolbar or the inspector to hide the block.
  3. The block stays in your page structure but is invisible to visitors on your website.
  4. When you are ready, simply make it visible again in the same way.

This is especially useful when you are preparing new content or want to take something offline briefly without losing your work.

Removing a Block

  1. Click the block to open the inspector panel on the right.
  2. Choose Remove.
  3. Keep in mind this action is permanent, so take a moment to confirm you no longer need that block.

Saving Your Changes

Nothing is final until you click Save at the top of the editor. Feel free to experiment with adding, moving, and hiding blocks before committing.

Tips

  • Use the inspector panel to manage list items, link buttons and CTAs to blocks, and configure extra options for each block.
  • Hiding a block is a great way to prepare seasonal content in advance without it going live until you are ready.
  • If you are unsure about removing a block, hide it first so you can always bring it back.
