Add a custom call-to-action button to your header

Answer

You can replace the default login button in your website header with a custom call-to-action button, such as "Book a call" or "Try for free". Once set up, the button appears in the top-right corner of your header and in the mobile menu automatically.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard.
  2. Find the Featured button in the header card.
  3. Enter your button text in the Button text field (for example: "Contact" or "Free scan").
  4. Enter the destination in the Link field.
  5. Click Save. Your button appears on your live website right away.

To remove the custom button and restore the default login button, simply clear one or both fields and save.

Two formats are supported:

Internal page links start with a forward slash, for example /contact or /assessment/my-scan. These links automatically get the right language prefix when a visitor views your site in another language, so the button always points to the correct page.

Full external links start with https://, for example a Calendly booking link. These open in a new tab.

Other formats, such as mailto: links or links starting with //, are not accepted. In that case the default login button stays in place, so your visitors never see a broken or unsafe link.

Linking to an assessment or scan

A popular use case is pointing the button to a free assessment or scan. Here is how to do that:

  1. Open the Assessment builder and find your assessment.
  2. Copy the slug (the short name that appears in the URL).
  3. Use /assessment/your-slug as the link in the header button settings.
  4. Make sure the assessment is published. A draft assessment is not visible on your website, so the button would lead to a page that does not exist yet.

Other great options are your contact page (/contact), a services page, or an external booking link.

Tips

  • Keep the button text short and action-oriented: "Book a call", "Get started", or "Free scan" work well.
  • Always publish an assessment before linking to it from your header.
  • Test the button on mobile after saving to make sure it looks and works as expected.
  • Want to change the destination later? Just update the link field and save. The change goes live immediately.
