Last updated June 12, 2026

Answer

The page editor lets you work with photos directly on the page. You see every image in context, replace it in seconds, and control the layout without navigating away. Here is how to make the most of it.

Opening the Page Editor

  1. Go to My Website in the left menu.
  2. Click Pages.
  3. Click the row of the page you want to edit. The page editor opens with all your content visible.

Replacing a Photo

  1. Hover your mouse over any photo on the page.
  2. A Change Photo button appears on the image.
  3. Click it. Your media library opens.
  4. Select the photo you want to use. It is placed immediately in the correct spot on the page.

No extra steps, no hunting through menus. The swap happens right where you are.

Switching Sides in Text-and-Image Blocks

Blocks like your hero section or your about block show a photo next to text. You can choose whether the photo sits on the left or the right.

  1. Hover over the photo in that block.
  2. Click the Switch Side button that appears in the lower-left corner of the image.
  3. The photo moves to the other side instantly.

This is a great way to create visual variety across your page and give sections their own distinct feel.

  1. Click your gallery block on the page. The inspector panel opens on the right.
  2. In the inspector, you will see all gallery photos listed.
  3. Drag a photo by its handle to move it to a new position in the order.

Tips

  • Mix portrait and landscape photos in your gallery. Alternating orientations creates a natural mosaic rhythm that makes the gallery look balanced and professional.
  • Start with your strongest image in the gallery. Visitors notice the first photo most, so lead with something that draws attention.
  • Use the Switch Side button to alternate image positions across multiple sections. Left, right, left, right keeps the page dynamic and easy to scan.
