Answer
You can customise the style of the cookie banner on your website. Four variants are available: Default (follows your website theme), Minimal (compact, Apple-style: no title, smaller buttons), Dark (black background with white text) and Accent (white with your accent colour). The cookie banner only appears if your legal region requires it (EU, UK or Canada), or if you have manually enabled the cookie consent override.
Steps
- Go to Settings in the dashboard.
- Scroll to the Legal Region card.
- Check that cookie consent is active for your region (or turn the override on).
- Below the overrides the Cookie banner style section appears.
- Click the desired variant. The change is saved immediately.
Variants
- Default: Follows your website colour scheme (theme colours, accent colour for buttons). Ideal if you want the banner to blend in with your site.
- Minimal: Compact design without title. White background, black buttons, always displayed side by side horizontally. Slides up from the bottom of the screen. Clean and subtle, similar to Apple-style cookie banners.
- Dark: Black background with white text and buttons. Stands out on light websites, fits well with dark themes.
- Accent: White background with buttons in your accent colour. Combines the clean white background with the recognisability of your brand colour.
Tips
- The Identity First Media landing page uses the "Minimal" variant.
- If you use a dark theme (Midnight, Obsidian), consider "Default" or "Dark".
- The banner appears at the bottom of the screen and disappears after the visitor makes a choice.
- Choices are saved in localStorage per visitor.
