Answer
Entities are the building blocks of your online identity. They capture the key facts about you, your company, your expertise, and your offering. The more complete your entity profile, the better AI search engines can recognize and mention you. Here is how to get started.
Find your entities
- Go to Identity in your dashboard.
- Click Entities.
- At the top you see your completeness percentage and four overview cards: total, confirmed, extracted, and derived entities.
- Use the Overview tab to browse entities by type (Person, Organization, Expertise, Services, and more), or switch to List for a flat view of everything.
Aim for at least 80% completeness for the best AI visibility.
Discover entities automatically with AI
The fastest way to build your entity profile is Entity Discovery, an AI-powered interview that fills your profile quickly and thoroughly.
- Click Add > Add via AI or click Start Discovery.
- Answer the questions the AI asks about your business, expertise, and target audience.
- After the conversation, review the discovered entities and confirm or adjust them.
- Once confirmed, a domain vocabulary is automatically generated to improve speech recognition.
Add entities manually
You can also add individual entities yourself at any time.
- Click Add > Add manually.
- Choose the entity type that fits (there are 12 types covering everything from personal data to social proof and contact information).
- Fill in the key and value.
- Save your new entity.
Tips
- Run Entity Discovery first to get a solid foundation fast, then fine-tune with manual additions.
- Check your completeness percentage regularly and fill gaps in underrepresented entity types.
- Confirming extracted and derived entities counts toward your completeness score, so review those cards too.
- The 80% completeness threshold is your goal for consistent AI recognition and mentions across the web.
