Basics (always)
- [ ] Footer details complete: company name, address, email, registration number, VAT
- [ ] Privacy policy uploaded (PDF in Dashboard > My Website > Footer)
- [ ] Terms and conditions uploaded
- [ ] Email unsubscribe link works (automatic)
If you have a webshop
- [ ] Right of withdrawal page appears automatically in footer
- [ ] Order button shows correct text (automatic)
- [ ] Pre-checkout text with links to T&C and privacy (automatic)
If you sell courses
- [ ] Digital content waiver checkbox for paid courses (automatic)
- [ ] Order confirmation states withdrawal right does not apply (automatic)
If you serve the German market
- [ ] Legal region set to EU (Dashboard > Settings > Legal region)
- [ ] Double opt-in automatically active for EU region (no action needed)
- [ ] Imprint complete (check your footer details)
- [ ] Order button shows "Kostenpflichtig bestellen" (automatic for DE locale)
If you use cookies
- [ ] Cookie banner active for EU/UK/CA (automatic based on legal region)
- [ ] For other regions: check Dashboard > Settings > Legal region > Cookie consent override
If you use AI features
- [ ] Transparency notices are shown automatically on the chatbot, AI Coach, help chatbot, and ZDT (automatic, required under EU AI Act Art. 50)
- [ ] AI Coach conversations reviewed periodically via the AI Coach Review Dashboard (Dashboard > AI Coach > Review Dashboard)
- [ ] Chatbot escalations monitored regularly to catch cases requiring human follow-up
Review regularly
- We monitor legislative changes and update the system automatically
- Review your footer details when anything changes (new address, registration number, etc.)
- Check your privacy policy annually
- Periodically review AI Coach conversations via the AI Coach Review Dashboard and monitor chatbot escalations

- Most compliance is automatic. You only need to keep your details up to date.

Overrides for international businesses
Operating internationally and need compliance elements from multiple regions? Use the override toggles under Settings > Legal region to toggle individual elements on or off. Available overrides: Imprint, Right of withdrawal, Do Not Sell, Cookie consent, Double opt-in. Search for "legal region and overrides" for more details.
