How to Change Your Account Password

Last updated April 9, 2026

Answer

You can update your account password at any time from the Settings page in your dashboard. The process takes less than a minute and keeps your account secure by always verifying your identity first.

Where to Find It

Go to Settings in your dashboard. Scroll down until you see the Change Password card, just above the Danger Zone section. That is where you manage your password.

Steps to Change Your Password

  1. Open Settings from your dashboard.
  2. Locate the Change Password card.
  3. Enter your current password in the first field. This confirms it is really you making the change.
  4. Enter your new password in the second field. It must be at least 8 characters long.
  5. Type your new password again in the Confirm Password field.
  6. Click Save Password to apply the change.

Your password is updated immediately. You will stay logged in to your current session, and the next time you sign in you will use your new password.

Error Messages Explained

If something is not quite right, the form will tell you exactly what to fix:

  • Incorrect current password: The password you entered in the first field does not match your account. Double-check it and try again.
  • Password too short: Your new password needs to be at least 8 characters. Add a few more characters and you are good to go.
  • Passwords do not match: The new password and the confirmation field are not identical. Re-enter them carefully.

Tips

  • Choose a strong password that combines letters, numbers, and symbols. The longer, the better.
  • Because your current password is always verified first, your account stays protected even if someone else has access to an open browser session.
  • This feature is available to all users on every plan, no extra setup needed.
