Answer
Keep your follow-up sharp by adding tasks directly to each lead in the Lead Engine. Tasks help you stay on top of every next step, so no lead ever slips through the cracks.
How to Add a Task to a Lead
- Open your pipeline board and click on the lead card you want to work with.
- Go to the Tasks tab inside the lead card.
- Click Add task and enter a title that describes the action you need to take.
- Optionally, set a deadline so you know exactly when the task needs to be done.
- Save the task. It is now linked to that contact and visible whenever you open the lead.
Completing and Tracking Tasks
When you finish a task, simply click the circle next to it to mark it as done. The task is then checked off and your list stays clean and focused.
If a deadline has passed and a task is still open, it will be highlighted in red. This makes it easy to spot overdue follow-ups at a glance and prioritize accordingly.
The Task Metric at the Top of Your Board
At the top of your pipeline board you will find a metric strip. One of the metrics shows how many tasks are open for today across all your leads. This gives you a quick daily overview without having to open each card individually.
Tips
- Give tasks action-oriented titles like "Send proposal" or "Follow up by phone" so it is always clear what needs to happen.
- Use deadlines consistently to make the most of the daily task metric on your board.
- Check the metric strip at the start of each day to plan your follow-up work in minutes.
