Answer
Your pipeline is the backbone of your Lead Engine. Setting it up to match your actual workflow makes it much easier to track where every lead stands and what needs to happen next. You can start from a ready-made template or customize your stages at any time.
Choose a template on your first visit
The first time you open the Lead Engine, you will be prompted to pick a template that fits your business model:
- Service Provider: Nieuw, In Gesprek, Offerte, Klant
- B2B / Training: Lead, Kennismaking, Voorstel, Onderhandeling, Gewonnen
- Custom / Production: Aanvraag, Intake, Ontwerp, Productie, Levering
- Education: Geinteresseerd, Proefperiode, Actief Lid, Verlengd
Pick the one that is closest to your process. You can always adjust the stages afterward, so do not worry about picking the perfect fit right away.
Manage your pipeline stages
Once your pipeline is live, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the pipeline view to open the stage settings. From there you can:
- Rename a stage: Click on the stage name and type your preferred label.
- Add a stage: Use the option to add a new stage and give it a name that reflects a step in your process.
- Reorder stages: Drag stages into the order that matches your workflow.
- Remove a stage: You can delete a stage as long as it contains no active leads. Move any leads to another stage first, then delete it.
The won stage
The last stage in your pipeline is automatically treated as your won stage, marked with a trophy icon. If you reorder your stages, whichever stage ends up last takes on that role. This is handy because it lets you track your conversion rate at a glance.
Tips
- Keep your pipeline to five to seven stages maximum. Fewer stages means less friction when moving leads forward.
- Name stages after actions or states that are meaningful to you, for example "Proposal Sent" instead of just "Offerte".
- Before deleting a stage, check that all leads have been reassigned so you do not lose track of any contacts.
