Answer
Command Chat gives you a fast way to check on your community and turn valuable discussions into knowledge, all without leaving whatever page you are on. Open it anywhere with Cmd+K and you are ready to go.
Check your community activity in seconds
The activity tool gives you an instant snapshot of how your community is doing. Just open Command Chat and ask for a community overview. You will see:
- The total number of discussions
- How many discussions are currently active
- Your total member count
- The five most recent discussions and their reply counts
This is a great way to stay on top of engagement without navigating to your community page every time.
Turn a discussion into a knowledge article
Sometimes a discussion thread contains real gold: expert answers, detailed explanations, or insights your members keep coming back to. The synthesis tool lets you capture all of that in one step.
- Open Command Chat with Cmd+K
- Ask Command Chat to synthesize a discussion (paste the link or mention the discussion)
- Command Chat reads all replies and combines the insights
- You will see a preview and a confirmation request before anything is saved
- Confirm, and a new knowledge article is created and immediately active in your knowledge base
Your chatbot and site search can now find and use that information right away.
Tips
- Use the activity overview at the start of your week to spot discussions that need your attention.
- The synthesis tool works best on longer threads where members have shared detailed insights or answered each other's questions.
- You are always asked to confirm before a knowledge item is created, so you stay in control of what goes into your knowledge base.
- You can run both tools from any page on the platform, not just the community page itself.
