Answer
Webshop Settings is your central control panel for everything your online store needs to run smoothly. Connect Stripe for payments, set up shipping rates, configure VAT, and manage stock display, all from one place.
Connect Stripe as your payment provider
Before customers can pay, you need to link your Stripe account. If Stripe is not yet connected, you will see a yellow banner at the top of the page.
- Click the Connect Stripe button in the banner.
- You will be taken to the Finance page where you can complete the connection.
- Once connected, the banner disappears and your store can accept payments.
Set up shipping options
Under Shipping, you control how delivery costs appear at checkout:
- Enter a flat rate shipping fee (for example: 5,95).
- Optionally set a free shipping threshold: the order amount above which shipping becomes free. Leave this empty if you always charge for shipping.
- Add a shipping description that customers see at checkout, such as "Standard delivery (1-2 business days)".
Configure VAT settings
Under VAT, you keep your pricing legally correct:
- Set the default VAT percentage (for example: 21%).
- Toggle Prices include VAT on or off depending on how you want to display prices in your store. When enabled, the VAT is already included in the price shown to customers.
Manage stock display
Under Stock, you decide how inventory information appears:
- Set the low stock threshold: the number at which a product is flagged as running low.
- Toggle Show stock count to display the exact number of items available on the product page. This can create a sense of urgency for buyers.
Save your settings
Click Save in the top right corner whenever you make changes. A confirmation message confirms everything is stored.
Tips
- Set a free shipping threshold slightly above your average order value to encourage customers to add one more item to their cart.
- If you sell a mix of products with different VAT rates, set the default to the most common rate and adjust individual products where needed.
- Turn on Show stock count only for products where scarcity is a selling point. For digital products or high-volume inventory it can distract more than it helps.
