Discount codes are a great way to reward loyal customers, boost a launch, or run a limited promotion. You can create codes with a percentage or fixed amount off, set an expiry date, and cap how many times a code can be used.
Create a new discount code
- Go to your webshop settings and open the Discount Codes section.
- Click New Code in the top right corner.
- Enter the code you want customers to use (it will be saved in uppercase automatically).
- Choose the discount type: Percentage or Fixed amount.
- Enter the discount value, for example 20 for 20% off, or 10.00 for a fixed 10 euro discount.
- Optionally set a minimum order amount to make the code valid only above a certain order value.
- Set a Valid from and Valid until date if the code should only work during a specific period.
- Enter a Maximum uses number if you want to limit how many times the code can be redeemed.
- Make sure the Active toggle is on, then click Save.
Your new code appears in the list right away.
Edit or deactivate a code
- Click the edit icon next to any code to update its settings.
- Use the Active toggle on the code card to quickly enable or disable a code without deleting it. This is handy for seasonal promotions you want to reuse later.
Copy a code to share it
Click the copy icon next to a code to copy it to your clipboard instantly. Share it in an email, social post, or newsletter.
Delete a code
Click the trash icon next to a code and confirm the deletion. This cannot be undone, so deactivating is often the safer choice if you might need the code again.
Tips
- Give codes a clear, memorable name like WELCOME10 or LAUNCH20 so customers can type them easily.
- Use the maximum uses limit for exclusive early-bird offers to create urgency.
- Deactivate rather than delete old codes so you keep a clean history of past promotions.
- A minimum order amount is a smart way to increase average order value while still rewarding customers.
