Fixing cache and stale content

Last updated April 25, 2026

Answer

Sometimes your website shows outdated content after making changes. This is caused by caching at multiple levels (browser, CDN, server). Usually this resolves itself within a few minutes.

Steps

  1. Wait 2 to 5 minutes after saving changes. The cache is refreshed automatically.
  2. Refresh your browser with Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to bypass the browser cache.
  3. Open your website in an incognito window to check if the change is visible without browser cache.
  4. If the content has not updated after 10 minutes: go to Settings > General and click "Refresh cache".
  5. For persistent issues: contact us via the help centre, mentioning the page URL and the expected content.

Tips

  • Changes to your identity profile or website design are always automatically applied to the live site.
  • Blog and podcast content can be cached for up to 60 minutes during high traffic.
  • Social media previews (Open Graph) are cached independently by platforms. Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger or Twitter Card Validator to refresh them.
