Use Entity Discovery to automatically build your knowledge profile

Last updated March 30, 2026

Answer

Entity Discovery uses AI to scan your existing content and suggest relevant topics, concepts, and entities you may not have captured yet. Instead of filling in everything manually, the AI does the heavy lifting and presents you with suggestions to review.

How it works

Entity Discovery runs in three simple phases:

  1. Discovery chat - The AI analyzes your knowledge base, uploads, and any crawled website content. It surfaces entities it found and may ask a few short questions to fill in gaps.
  2. Confirmation panel - You review all suggested entities in one overview. Accept what looks right, edit anything that needs a tweak, or dismiss suggestions that don't apply.
  3. Save and continue - Once you confirm, everything is saved to your entity profile and you move straight to the next setup step.

Reviewing and editing suggestions

In the confirmation panel you have full control:

  • Accept a suggestion by leaving it as is and clicking Confirm.
  • Edit a suggestion by clicking on the value and typing your correction.
  • Add more by going back to the discovery chat if you want the AI to look for additional entities.

The panel also shows your overall profile completeness. Once you reach 80% or more, you can skip straight to confirmation without going through the full chat again.

Skipping or finishing early

If you already have enough entities saved, a Skip button appears in the top right. This lets you move on without reviewing additional suggestions. You can always return to your entity profile later to make changes.

Tips

  • The more content you have uploaded or crawled before running Entity Discovery, the better the suggestions will be. Add your website, documents, or knowledge base articles first for the best results.
  • You are never locked in. Every suggestion is editable, so treat the AI output as a helpful starting point rather than a final answer.
  • If a suggested entity looks almost right but not quite, use the edit option instead of dismissing it. A small correction is faster than recreating it from scratch later.
